This month, we’re recognizing the owners of Super Cafe and Ms. Lane Sandwich Shop for the quiet, consistent, and heartfelt ways they show up for those who need it most.
From handing out food bags and hygiene items, to offering warm meals, clothing, holiday gifts, and simple human kindness, they’ve created a place where no one is judged and everyone is welcomed with love. Their doors stay open not just as a restaurant, but as a refuge. A reminder that compassion still leads the way in Metropolis and the surrounding areas.
They don’t do it for recognition. They do it because they care.
And that’s exactly why they deserve to be celebrated.
